Remembrance of Things Past

My husband Jeff and I were married on this day in 1988. Happy 20th Anniversary to us!

I blogged about this more extensively at Inkspot, in case you want to read the bizarre story of our blind date meeting. :)

Hi Julia--I wondered if you'd be willing to contribute a forgotten book to my blog project on such. Every Friday various writers recommend a book they believe has fallen off the radar a bit. It needn't be long or fancy. Would you be willing to do one June 6th? If you're too busy, I completely understand.
For a sample of last week’s choices: http://pattinase.blogspot.com

Thank, Patti

Oh my gosh, Patti! Where would I start? :)

Sure. Where do I send it? Can you send me your e-mail to julishka@sbcglobal.net?

I have another funny story--but I won't post it here, since some people might find it in poor taste. I'll e-mail you. :)

You know, Julia, you are a fantastic mystery writer, but you are a sublime personal essayist. Every thought of writing a memoir? I am absolutely serious.

I know everyone I would want to hang out with doesn't think their life is interesting enough to write about, but the blog response you've gotten to this story shows that it is the everyday stuff with a little bit of miracle that people love to read. Plus, isn't your blog pretty much a memoir in snapshot format? Give it some thought. I'd buy that book, and I'm certainly not the only one.
