A Happy Father's Day to all fathers, especially my own dear Dad.He reminded me yesterday that he has been retired for twelve years now, which surprised all of us, since they have been twelve of the busiest years of his life. He lives in service to others, especially his five children. He is so good at most everything that we are constantly seeking his aid and his wisdom.
I borrow a quote from John Gregory Brown: "There's something like a line of gold thread running through a man's words when he talks to his daughter, and gradually over the years it gets to be long enough for you to pick up in your hands and weave into a cloth that feels like love itself."
