My parents share a birthday month, and the dates of their births are only six days apart. This weekend is the midpoint between them, so today we celebrate.My mother was born in Germany; my father's parents came to America from Hungary when they were in their teens, and my father was born in Chicago in an all-Hungarian neighborhood.
Fate brought them together in a fascinating way (which you can read here), and they have been together for 53 years.
